TRUSTING IN JESUS – REAL FAITH

Many Christians say that they believe in Jesus and trust in Him, but their faith is false and their trust  is shallow because they disobey Him  and they refuse to follow Him. They have been told that they only need to believe in Jesus and trust in Him to have eternal life. That faith will not save them. They  believe a false doctrine that is based on half truths and lies. They love the false gospel  because it is an easy gospel.
The truth is often uncomfortable and painful, but unless we seek the truth  and embrace it we will suffer when it catches up with us. The words of Jesus are not all pleasant because they are truth. People were often  offended by His words.  That is why many of His disciples left Him, and no longer  followed Him. That is why the Jews hated, rejected  and had Him crucified.

Jesus gives eternal  life  to those who accept Him, follow Him and Obey Him. The words of Jesus, as recorded in the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke  and John  are the words of eternal life, for those who accept  Jesus  and obey them. There is no  other way to have salvation.
Everybody wants eternal life.  Nobody wants to spend  eternity in hell, in eternal  torment, but few are willing  to accept Jesus  as their Lord  and Master, and live according to His teachings. Even fewer are willing to give up their own plans, dreams and ambitions to follow Jesus to live their lives for Him and do what He requires. That is why so few will enter heaven and have eternal life.

If we really believe in Jesus we will fear, love and obey Him. If we really trust Him, we will follow Him.
Do you believe in Jesus? Have you repented of sin? Have you stopped practicing sin? Have you been baptized in water for the forgiveness of your sin? Have you received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit and are you following His guidance?
Do you trust and obey Jesus? Is your faith real?
May Jesus bless you.
