LOOK UP

The love of God draws us to Him, to repentance and holiness and closeness to Him, because the only safe place, is to be close to Him. Often, when things start going wrong in our lives, when troubles are more and greater than solutions, believers start blaming satan. They fail to see the hand of God, that is arranging obstacles around them, that they cannot climb over, leading them into problems that they cannot solve.
God is forcing them to LOOK UP, come to Him, call on Him. Nothing happens in the life of a child of God without His knowledge and approval. The prophet Amos wrote:
“6If a trumpet is blown in a city will not the people tremble?
            If a calamity occurs in a city has not the LORD done it?
   7Surely the Lord GOD does nothing
            Unless He reveals His secret counsel
            To His servants the prophets.” Amos 3:6,7.

Where do we run to when it seams as though things are out of control and heading for disaster? Do we bow before Jesus, humble ourselves before Him and seek His counsel, or do we run around in panic and despair? Do we look up and call on Jesus?
God is in control. He knows what He is doing. We must just trust Him, stay with Him and obey Him and He will work all things out for good.
