The true followers of Jesus are regarded as weird because they actually believe He is Alive, they take His words literally, they obey Him, they hear His voice and they follow Him. They are regarded with suspicion, despised and rejected, because they do not fit the profile of the worldly false Christians.
The true followers of Jesus are children of God and therefore they do not fit in with, nor are they understood by the world and the false church going Christians. They do not comply with the conventions of men.
The children of God are different because they know Jesus. The world and the worldly false Christians do not know Jesus, they do not understand the kingdom of God because they are not born again. You cannot see nor enter the kingdom of God unless you are born again. You can only experience Jesus Christ, His power, His glory, His fellowship, His presence, if you are born of the Spirit. The world and the false Christians cannot receive the Holy Spirit because they do not accept Jesus. They do not really believe that Jesus is the Almighty and that the kingdom of heaven belongs to Him. Therefore they reject Him and never get to know Him, to their eternal detriment.
The world and the false Christians are spiritually blind, deaf and unperceptive. They cannot see, hear, nor perceive what the born again child of God experiences. They are carnal, living on the level of the natural senses, instincts, intellectual fantasies and perceptions. They are little smarter than animals that are snared and slaughtered, because they are easily deceived by lies, deception, their own perceptions, ignorance and inherently human shortcomings. They are destroyed and eternally damned because even though they know in their hearts, in their being, to seek and obey God, they choose to follow after their foolish fleshly lusts and desires. Many go after knowledge but their foolish minds are darkened because they reject the Creator of all things, Jesus Christ.
Those who accept Jesus Christ and are born again receive revelation of the truth and gain understanding, like the apostle Paul did, and also wrote in Colossians 1: 13”For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, 14in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
15He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.16For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him.17He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. 18He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. 19For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, 20and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.”
The true children on God are regarded as weird because they belong to the kingdom of God. They are born again. They obey the teachings and commandments of Jesus, His words as recorded in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. They follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit. They do not conform to the standards and expectations of the world and the worldly false Christians They are not sinners and they do not belong to church organizations, they belong to Jesus and His kingdom.
