Salvation is a Journey

Salvation is not a one time event. It is a journey on the road less travelled, the road of holiness and righteousness, following Jesus Christ. Very few people are on that road, because very few know and follow Jesus Christ.
Without Jesus, you cannot follow that road because Jesus alone is the Way, the Truth and the Life. You cannot follow that road by reading the Bible, by going to church, or by following other people. You need to KNOW Jesus, follow and obey Him every day, until the end. The Bible tells us about Jesus and others can testify of Jesus but we have to KNOW Jesus to be able to follow Him.
Most believers never go on the journey, following Jesus. Many believers have been taught a false gospel. They just believe they have salvation, but they never met nor started to follow Jesus.
The salvation journey starts if you have met Jesus and decide to follow Him, but you have to follow Him until the end of your life to enter heaven. Jesus warned that the road is narrow and the gate is straight, that leads to life; many will try hard to enter and not be able. That is why we have to stay with Jesus and follow Him, every day, until the end to enter heaven and finally be saved.
Many stray from Jesus, and they go off the straight and narrow road. Those who do not return to Jesus in time and follow Him until the end, will end up in hell.
The only way to follow Jesus is to strictly OBEY Him, firstly to obey His teachings, His commands as they were also recorded in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John; repent, turn from sin and following after your own worldly ways. Humble yourself before Jesus, on your knees, plead His forgiveness for your past sins and invite Him into your life. Commit yourself to follow and obey Him. Ask Him to accept you as a child of God and to make you new inside. If you are serious, you will experience the joy and peace of Jesus, like a flood of refreshing water, flow through you. Then you have to STOP SINNING, obey Jesus, be baptized in water for the washing off of your sin. Live in obedience to the teachings of Jesus, sin no more, be holy, and Jesus will give His Holy Spirit in you to be with you and guide you every day. You will experience His presence with you all the time. Live for Jesus every day. Pray. Ask His guidance in everything. If you slip and do wrong, immediaterly repent and ask forgiveness. Do not repeat the same sin.
Work on your relationship with Jesus, Seek Jesus in prayer. Let Him always be on your mind. Seek His guidance. Ask Him to teach and guide you. He will speak to you, in many ways, in your spirit, through dreams, revelations. He will teach and guide you, but you have to stay with Him and not allow sin, worldliness and disobedience to come between you and Jesus.
You have to stay with Jesus on the straight and narrow way, until the end to complete the journey and have final salvation when you enter heaven.
Many never start the journey with Jesus. Many never meet Jesus. They are deceived into becoming religious, into believing doctrines of men, becoming church members, followers of men. Many believe in their own insight into the Bible and fail to meet Jesus after reading the Bible. The Bible is not a road map to heaven, it points to Jesus, He is the ONLY WAY, the only one who can save and guide you to life. Jesus is the only way.
Have you met Jesus? Have you committed to follow and obey Him, to take this journey with Him? If you have, did you stay with Jesus? Are you following Him on the straight and narrow road? Do you listen to His voice and follow Him? Or have you strayed? Are you following your own ways, people, churches, preachers, sin and the world? If you want to end up in heaven and have salvation, eternal life with Jesus, you have to follow and obey Him until the end.
Make up your mind, dear friend. Where do you want to spend eternity? Seek Jesus now, today, go on your knees and plead with Him to accept you. Commit to follow and obey Him, repent and be baptized, stay with Him and follow Him until the end. Stay on the road with Jesus until the end of the road, to have salvation.

May Jesus bless you.
