The only way to KNOW Jesus Christ is through revelation. We can know ABOUT Jesus through the testimony of others or reading the Bible but we can only KNOW Him if He reveals Himself to us.
Jesus said:“He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.” (John 14:21)
Jesus will reveal Himself to us if we obey His commands, repent, turn from sin and from going after our sinful worldly desires, be baptized in water and live according to His teachings, as they are also recorded in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
Many believers do not KNOW Jesus. They believe they have salvation, but they do not obey Jesus and therefor they never received revelation from Jesus. Some did receive revelation from Jesus, they experienced Him as real but they did not stay with Him, they did not live according to His words and they do not follow and obey Him.
We can only know Jesus if we stay with Him, after He has revealed Himself to us, because He will reveal Himself to us more and more if we stay with Him. He will give His Holy Spirit in us to teach and guide us in all things. Without Jesus we can do nothing. Without Jesus we will not enter heaven. Without Jesus our life is a waste. We need to know Him, He needs to know us. We must follow and obey Him and DO what He tells us to do. We must bear fruit for His kingdom, and we can only do that if we stay with Him, hear from Him and receive revelation from Him.
