Jesus Christ is Lord, He is alive and if we stay in obedience to Him we can pray with confidence and expect to receive what we have asked for. Jesus said: 13“Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14“If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. John 14:13,14.
We read in Matthew 21:22 Jesus said:“And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”
Many believers pray and they do not receive. Many ask Jesus for guidance and wisdom, but they doubt, whether it is not the devil that gives them an answer. The reason why they do not receive and answer is because they do not believe.
The apostle James wrote:”5But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. 7For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, 8being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.” James 1:5-8.
Do you receive when you pray? Do you really believe, when you pray?
