Jesus will never reject a backslider that repents, that wants to come back to Him. Jesus paid the price for each and every soul to redeem them from damnation, to bring them into His kingdom to be children of God, to be with Him for eternity. Jesus never changes. He is the same, yesterday, today and forever. You might have strayed from Jesus.
You might have backslidden, you might have gone back to your old life of sin, but Jesus never changed. He is waiting for you to come back to Him. He is calling you back. Do not let anything stop you from going back to Jesus. Let us read from Isaiah 1:16. “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean. Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight, cease to do evil, learn to do good. Seek justice, reprove the ruthless. Defend the orphan, plead for the widow. Come now and let us reason together says the Lord, though your sins are like scarlet they will be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson they will be like wool.”
It does not matter where you went, it does not matter how far you have fallen. Jesus will pick you up. He will take you back, if you just come back to Him. satan does not want you to go back to Jesus, he will quote your Bible verses, he will tell you that Jesus will not accept you back, but satan is a liar. Jesus never changed. He is waiting for you to come back to Him, but you have to repent, you have to clean up your life. Like we read in verse 16: “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean. Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight. Cease to do evil.”
If we truly repent and go back to Jesus, He will accept us. There is only one way to have life and that is to be with Jesus and to follow Jesus until the very end. Do not delay, do not let anything stop you. Go back to Jesus. Serve Him, follow Him, stay with Him, until the very end.
