False Security of Salvation

Most Christian believers are living in utter false security of salvation. They believe that they are saved but at the same time they have no relationship with Jesus Christ and they have nothing to do with the Kingdom of God.
Jesus said that:”My sheep LISTEN to My voice and they FOLLOW Me.” These people do not know His voice, some know His voice but they don’t LISTEN, they don’t follow Him. Still, these people do not care, they live as though they will be living for ever but they can die today, and they will stand before Jesus and He will say to them:”Go away I never knew you, you workers of wickedness.” If we do not know, obey, follow and stay close to Jesus then we cannot KNOW Him, then we cannot do His will and we cannot bear good fruit and we WILL GET CUT OFF, because every branch in Jesus that does not bear good fruit will get cut off and burned. Many believers are being cut off and BURNED. Their family and fellow believers go to their funerals and they are told that this brother or sister is now with Jesus but they are NOT, they are in the FIRES OF HELL because they had nothing to do with Jesus. They were living in FALSE SECURITY.
The whole world is deceived. People think that because they go to church and they BELIEVE, and they have a Bible, they believe that they have salvation BUT THEY DON’T HAVE JESUS. That do not know Him at all and even if they do know Him they ignore Him, they deny Him. If we deny Him He will certainly deny us. If we do not follow and obey Him every day, if Jesus is not the center of our lives then He will turn us away. If we are not interested in Him NOW then we will not be with Him in eternity.
WAKE UP dear friend and MAKE SURE that Jesus is pleased with you. Don’t believe what other people say, go talk to Jesus and make sure that He is pleased with you today and every day or else you are living in FALSE SECURITY. Get close to Jesus and stay close to Him or you will PERISH and be away from Him for eternity.
May Jesus bless you.

I don’t mean to disrespect you or degrade you in any manner. I agree to a certain extent with what you’re saying (i.e. We should follow him wholeheartedly), but I do not agree with the idea that God would burn one of His precious children. A child who has believed in Him, as the Bible has told us will grant us passage to heaven. It is not by our works that we are saved, but rather through believing. Our works however do determine how we spend eternity (not the destination). 1 Corinthians 3:12-15 tells us that our works will be tested on Judgement Day and if they withstand the test we will be rewarded. If not, we will still be saved, but will suffer loss. Likewise, Matthew 16:27 tells us that the Son of Man will reward each man according to his works when He returns. Not salvation, but rather riches and crowns in heaven. Now, this isn’t an excuse for Christians to believe and then continue on with their lives. Rather, it should motivate us to do good works, without boastfulness, and look forward to the day we will reap the harvest of our deeds.
I hope I did not offend you. I simply wished to provide my opinion on the situation and would not mind further discussion upon the topic. God bless.

    • Dear friend, what did Jesus mean when He said:”he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. 6“If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned.” Does that sound like “losing rewards?”
Matthew 3:10 “And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.”
How is your FRUIT, dear friend?

A year has passed! A lot has happened, and a lot has changed! (At least for me… How about you?).

I’ve been doing the M’Cheyne reading plan. As a result, I’m currently going through the book of Matthew. I came across this verse that you had brought up (Matthew 3:10, that is) and I was instantaneously reminded of our (for lack of other words) argument last year (which I apologize for… pride is a nasty thing…).

We’re always told to read verses in context so as to not take an individual verse out of its context (and I think the ultimate “context” is the entirety of the Bible). So just two verses before this verse (Matthew 3:8) it says “Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.”

So, is it possible that the fruit referenced in verse 10 is a reference to the fruit in verse 8? It wouldn’t seem to make sense any other way… So if that were the case, then what John is saying is that those who are unrepentant will be “cut down and thrown in the fire.”

What do you think of this interpretation?

        Blessings!

Are you suggesting that salvation is works based?
