The wages of sin is death. If we sin we must die.
God loved the world so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus
to this earth to die in our place for our sins. Jesus existed before all things
and all things were made for Him and by Him. Even though everything belongs to
Jesus in any case He obeyed the Father and came as a normal human like us. He
lived a perfect life and never did any sin. He healed the sick and He did many
miracles to prove to the people that He was really God. still people did not
believe in Him because their deeds were evil. Jesus never judged or condemned
anybody but He taught them to stop sinning. To those who believed in Him He promised
eternal life if they would follow Him and do as He taught them. His teachings
and the things that He did were recorded by four people, Matthew, Mark, Luke
and John. Those are the first four books of the New Testament.
Many people believed that Jesus was the Son of God but few
followed Him because they did not want to stop sinning. The religious people of
the time, the Jews, were expecting the coming of the Messiah, Jesus, but they
rejected Him because their deeds were evil. They were also responsible for His
death on the cross. They accused Him and had Him killed by the Romans. Jesus
arose from the dead after three days. He conquered hell and death. He ascended
to heaven while the disciples who had been with Him all the time were watching.
He promised to return to judge the living and the dead. At His second coming
the dead will rise from the graves and everybody, the living and the dead will
be judged by their deeds. Those who did good will be rewarded with eternal life
with Jesus in heaven. Those who sinned and were disobedient to Jesus will be
cast into the lake of fire, where they will be tormented for eternity.
When Jesus ascended to heaven He promised to send the Holy
Spirit as a gift and guide to those who
believe and follow Him. He instructed His disciples to go to Jerusalem and wait
for the Holy Spirit. They were all praying in the upper room when the Holy
Spirit was poured out on them. They were filled with the power of God and under
the power of the Holy Spirit they started speaking in other tongues. (Read
about this in Acts 2:3,4)
The Holy Spirit was sent for all those who believe and
follow Jesus. The Holy Spirit will come into them and will guide them into all
righteousness, to stop sinning and to do the will of Jesus. It is the voice of
God inside those who believe. On the day of Pentecost (the day that the Holy
Spirit was given) many people were amazed to see this thing happen and they
asked what they should do to be saved. Peter, one of the disciples explained to
them: “ Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in
the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive
the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 “For
the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many
as the Lord our God will call to Himself.” 41 So then, those who had
received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three
thousand souls.’ Acts 2:38-41.
That is how we are saved. Firstly we must believe in Jesus
and then we must repent of our sins. We must make a firm decision to completely
turn away from sin and plead with Jesus for forgiveness. We must go on our knees and cry out to Him
with remorse, be sorry for the sins we have done. Cry before Jesus because He
died in our place and He took the punishment for our sins. If you come with a
serious heart Jesus will forgive you and give you joy in your heart so you will
know that your sins are forgiven.
Then you must be baptized in the Name of Jesus for the
forgiveness of your sins (according to Acts 2:38) After baptism in water you
can ask for and will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, as Jesus promised.
The Holy Spirit in you will give you the power to overcome
sin and He will guide you into the will of Jesus every day of your life. Until
you die and come before the judgment throne of God. The Holy Spirit will
prepare you so you will be righteous and holy and be ready to enter heaven and
be with Jesus forever. It is the voice of Jesus in you. He will never leave
you, but you must listen and obey Him. His Spirit will come and live in your
spirit, in your heart and will guide you every moment of your life. You just
need to ask Him and He will put the answer into your mind so that you will know
what to do to remain holy. If you do the slightest wrong He will warn you and
then you must repent and so He will help
you every step of the way. If you obey the Holy Spirit, the soft voice of Jesus
in you, then you will be ready every moment of your life. You will also feel
His peace in your heart all the time. That will confirm that Jesus is satisfied
with you. If you do wrong the peace will go away and you must pray and ask
Jesus to show you what is wrong so you can repent and correct.
The Holy Spirit will guide you into a constant relationship
with Jesus. (John 14:26, John 15:26, John 16:13-15).
You must be always praying in your mind, asking Jesus to
guide you. Also spend time with Him, praying and meditating on Him. Write down
the thoughts that He puts into your mind in a journal. That way you build your
relationship with Jesus. Read the words of Jesus in the gospels and obey them.
If you get into sin, immediately repent. Don’t wait. Sin
separates us from Jesus. Even one sin that we refuse to give up can send us to
hell. Stay focused on Jesus and He will help you and guide you. If you are not
sure about anything, pray, ask Jesus and He will show you what to do. He will
put the answer in your mind, in your heart. Obey Him and you will have peace in
your heart always and be ready to die and face Jesus any time.

How does a sinner think that he has committed sins without the law telling him so? You must first point out that they have sinned against God and have made him angry. Point out the commandments that they have broken and THEN tell them that God loves them enough not to completely destroy them for breaking them.
The Holy Spirit convicts of sin, righteousness and judgment. Nobody will have any excuse not knowing their sin. The moment a person sins they are already convicted. The laws of God are written in our conscience. The saving grace of God promises us forgiveness and eternal life if we repent from sin plead forgiveness from Jesus and thereafter obey Jesus until the end.
