There are many gospels being preached today and everybody
believes that his gospel is right. But there is only one true gospel, there is
only one way and that is God’s way.
Peter preached that gospel on the day of Pentecost we read in
Acts 2:38-39 “Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized
in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will
receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 “For the promise is for you and
your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will
call to Himself.”
That’s the gospel, that’s the gospel of Jesus Christ there
is no other. Once we have received the baptism in the Holy Spirit, we are
guided by the Holy Spirit, if we listen to the Holy Spirit. That’s
the only way that we can walk in the light and stay in the light if we are
guided by the Holy Spirit. The Christians of Acts were guided by the Holy
Spirit because they spend time in the presence of God, praying and the Holy
Spirit led them and guided them into all truth like Jesus said He would. He
said: The Spirit of truth will guide you into all truth and will remind you of
all that I told you. And that is why God send the Holy Spirit is to guide us
and to lead us into all truth and remind us of what Jesus said, inside of us,
being led by the Holy Spirit. There is only one road and that is the narrow
road, there is no other road and that road leads to the narrow gate. The only
way we can get there is being guided by the Holy Spirit, we cannot do that on
our own. We can only make it through a very, very close relationship with Jesus
Christ.
There are many other gospels preached today which are false
and lead us, not to Jesus but to hell. There is only one road and that’s
Christ’s road.
There’s a seed faith gospel, they say you need to sow
into the kingdom of God so that you can reap. So if you don’t sow you don’t
reap. The only one that reaps is the person that preaches because they want you
to put your money into their business, into their church and then they reap and
you get poor. But it doesn’t bring you closer to Jesus Christ. Jesus never
asked money of anybody. He said: come here follow Me. That’s what He said. He
didn’t ask people for money.
There is also the eternal security gospel. These
people that say you are saved and sealed and you are on your way to heaven,
there is no such thing. If we drop out of the race, if we get tired along the
road and we don’t follow Jesus any more then we won’t get to heaven. There is
no such thing as saved and sealed, that is a lie, it attracts people, it makes
the gospel so easy. Jesus never begged anybody to follow Him. Whoever wanted to
go, He just let them go. He didn’t ask anybody, He didn’t speak nicely to
anybody to follow Him. We need Christ, He doesn’t need us.
There is also the Bible believing people. We can’t be
saved through believing in the Bible. People worship the Bible; we must follow
Jesus, that’s what we must do. The devil also believes the Bible and he also
knows the Bible. There are many people who know the Bible but don’t obey the
Bible. The Bible says to follow Jesus, seek Jesus. So you can believe the Bible
but if you don’t do what the Bible tells you and that is to follow Christ; to
believe in Jesus and obey Him it’s no good to you. You must believe in Jesus
Christ and you must follow Jesus Christ. When you get in judgment day, Jesus is
not going to test our Bible knowledge He will either say to you: I know you,
or: Go away from Me I never knew you. We need to believe in Jesus Christ, we need
to follow Jesus Christ.
We don’t need to be Bible gurus. We must be guided by the
Holy Spirit, we must spend time in the presence of Jesus and get to know Him.
There is also another gospel, the social gospel, the
church building gospel. You got to get people into that building and as many as
possible and build that church at any cost. Just don’t offend the people,
because if you tell them the truth, then they are going to run away. They want
you to wrap up the truth, lie to them. You know what Jesus thought about that.
We read it in Matthew 15:12-14 “Then the disciples came and said to Him, “Do
You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this
statement?” 13 But He answered and said, “Every plant which My
heavenly Father did not plant shall be uprooted. 14 “Let them
alone; they are blind guides of the blind. And if a blind man guides a blind
man, both will fall into a pit.”
Jesus wasn’t concerned about people following Him. He came
and He paid the price He gave everything. We need Christ, He doesn’t need us.
People are concerned that their membership will run away, they are worried
about the money, yes, they are not worried about the souls. Jesus wasn’t
worried, Jesus paid the price for our salvation. We need to worry about
following Jesus, worry about a relationship with Jesus Christ and rejecting
sin, repenting of sin and following Him, living a life that is pleasing to
Jesus Christ.
There is another gospel being preached, the fellowship
gospel. It takes you to the club but not to Jesus. The one scripture that
they use very well is “not forsaking our own assembling together” you must go
to church, that’s in Hebrews 10:25. But the same people forget Hebrews 10:24
before verse 25 that reads “and let us consider how to stimulate one
another to love and good deeds” 25 “not forsaking our own assembling
together.” When you say to people love and good deeds they say no I am saved by
grace not through works. My friend if you got faith without works your
faith is dead. We are saved by grace not deeds, that’s what they say.
And as soon as we have to live a righteous life then these people say: No
that’s works. We need to bear fruit in keeping with our repentance. We need to
live righteous lives.
We need to be like a city on a hill that cannot be hidden.
We need to be the salt of the earth if we cannot show repentance and fruit then
there is no salvation. Faith without works is dead. There is only one Lord, one
faith, one baptism, that’s the only gospel, there is no other gospel. We read
in Ephesians 4:4-6 “There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you
were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one
baptism, 6 one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and
in all.”
You know the problem with truth is it cuts through all
denominations, it cuts through all interpretations, through all arguments,
feelings, beliefs and it leaves us in the sight of God. Truth is truth it
doesn’t takes sides. All that matters is the truth, if we seek the truth we
will find it. And we will stand in the sight of God, before Jesus Christ in
judgment day and there is only going to be one truth and we will be judge by
that.
He has one rule for all:
REPENT
BE BAPTIZED
RECEIVE THE BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
BE GUIDED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT
WALK IN THE LIGHT, then you won’t be in the darkness
STAY ON THE NARROW ROAD
BEAR FRUIT
ENDURE UNTIL THE END
GET TO KNOW JESUS INTIMATELY: He will say to many in that
day GO AWAY I NEVER KNEW YOU. Why? Because they never took the time to get to
know Jesus.
MAKE SURE YOUR WEDDING GARMENT IS SPOTLESS, LIVE A HOLY
LIFE:
HE WILL SAY TO SOME: FRIEND HOW DID YOU GET IN HERE WITHOUT
WEDDING GARMENT ON? And they will be cast out into utter darkness.
THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY, That’s GOD’S WAY, God said:
THIS IS MY BELOVED SON, LISTEN TO HIM! And that is what we got to do Jesus
Christ alone got to obey Him.
