Jesus
has been diminished in the eyes of the world. He is portrayed as a weak
baby, in a manger. Next to Santa Clause, Jesus shows off badly.
Children write letters to Santa, the parents buy the gifts, the
children receive exactly what they asked for, wrapped up. And Jesus
gives them nothing. Parents are lying and glorifying pagan fables and
they are not giving glory to Christ. And then they wonder why their
children don’t believe in Jesus.
Easter
time, parents buy Easter bunnies. The kids get rewarded with chocolates
and candy bunnies and it’s time for Easter holiday. Few know or talk
about the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and that is what Easter is really
about. They don’t talk about the crucifixion and about Jesus because it
is kind of “gross”.
Ascension
day is no longer observed by most people, simply because people don’t
believe that Jesus ascended to heaven any more. They just keep quiet
about it.
Jesus
is portrayed as a homeless person who entertained people with nice
teachings, which are not practical for our day and age.
Jesus
is portrayed as a pacifist who turned the other cheek, He did not open
his mouth to his accusers, He never got upset, always meek and mild.
Jesus never defended Himself you know but He was not shy, He didn’t shy
away when it came to sin and unrighteousness.
He
got upset once and He cleansed the temple of the money changers. He
overturned the tables and He chased out the cattle. He said: My Father’s house should be a house of prayer; you have changed it into a robber’s den!
He
would do the same today in most modern churches. He would destroy their
bookshops; throw out their merchandise, their paintings, DVD’s of
Christian rock stars and celebrity preachers. He would destroy the
coffee shops. Jesus hasn’t changed!
The
real Jesus was obedient to death, willfully! He sacrificed Himself for
this world, for me and you. We read in Matthew 26:51-54 when they came
to fetch Jesus and they betrayed Him “And behold, one of those who were
with Jesus reached and drew out his sword, and struck the slave of the
high priest and cut off his ear. 52 Then Jesus said to him: “Put your
sword back into its place; for all those who take up the sword shall
perish by the sword. 53 “Or do you think that I cannot appeal to My
Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions
of angels? 54 “How then will the Scriptures be fulfilled, which say
that it must happen this way?” A legion is 6,000 thus He could have
asked and more than 72,000 mighty angels could have come to his rescue,
if Jesus had asked for it. But He preferred to be obedient to the
Father and do what the Father wanted Him to do. Which included dying on
a cross, which included turning the other cheek.
Our
modern Bible translations have been modified to remove all reference of
the fear of God. Why? Because people just want to hear about the love
of God, the love of Christ. People
believe that Jesus is a God of love and He tolerates sin that’s not
true. He hates sin and He doesn’t tolerate disobedience. He became
obedient to death.
Jesus is returning soon and then the world will get to know Him as He really is. Let
us read what is written about WHO JESUS REALLY IS. We read in
Colossians 1:15-20 “ He is the image of the invisible God, the
firstborn of all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created, both
in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or
dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through
Him and for Him. 17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold
together. 1 He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the
beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to
have first place in everything.19 For it was the Father’s good
pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, 20 and through Him to
reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of
His cross.”
That’s
the real Jesus. He is God Almighty, He is not Little Jesus meek and
mild lying in a manger. He is God Almighty, He was before all things.
Everything was made for Him and to Him. He is not that meek Little Guy
that people tell you about.
JESUS IS COMING BACK TO JUDGE THE LIVING AND THE DEAD
John
the Baptist explained Jesus’ nature, we read in Matthew 3:12 “His
winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His
threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He
will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” That’s terrible and
that’s Jesus.The Apostle John had a revelation of Jesus on the Island of Pathmos we read it in Revelation 1:7-8 “BEHOLD, HE IS COMING WITH THE CLOUDS,
and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the
tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen. 8 “I am
the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and
who is to come, the Almighty.” That is who He is, the Almighty.
The Apostle John described Him in Revelations 19:12-16 “His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. 13 He is
clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of
God. 14 And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen,
white and will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. 16 And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”

sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He
Revelations 20:11- “Then
I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence
earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I
saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and
books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book
of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in
the books, according to their deeds. 13 And the sea gave up the dead
which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in
them; and they were judged, every one of them according to
their deeds. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire.
This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone’s name was
not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of
fire.”
Revelations 22:15 “Outside
are the dogs and the sorcerers and the immoral persons and the
murderers and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying.” That is the real Jesus.
Are you blameless; is your robe spotless for the coming of the real Jesus?
Are
you ready to stand judgment right now? Your time may be any minute. Our
lives are not in our own hands. We must be ready every moment. No sin
will be excused. Be ready, Jesus is coming!
I am not asking if you are Christian. Are you blameless, righteous, and ready? HAVE YOU BECOME OBEDIENT TO JESUS IN EVERY WAY?
Do you know His voice, are you following Him daily, or will He say to you or to me: Go away I never knew you.
It will not be Little Jesus meek and mild that we meet, it will be JESUS CHRIST, ALMIGHTY, the JUDGE of all mankind.
