Why the world hates Jesus

The
world hates Jesus and also hates those people that follow Him. Jesus
said: John 7:7 “The world … hates Me because I testify of it, that its
deeds are evil.”

And
that’s the reason why the world hates Jesus. If you are a real
Christian you must be prepared to be rejected and to be hated by the
world not to be accepted.

John writes in 1 John 3:13 “Do not be surprised, brethren, if the world hates you.”

The reason why the first murder was committed on this planet was for the same reason. We read in 1 John 3:12 “Cain, who was of the evil one and slew his brother. And for what reason did he slay him?  Because
his deeds were evil, and his brother’s were righteous.” That was why he
killed him, because Cain was evil he killed Abel. If you are righteous
the world won’t like you, they will hate you. If you go along with sin
you will be accepted.

Jesus said to His disciples, He warned them in John 15:18-22 “If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated
you. 19 “If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but
because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world,
because of this the world hates you. 20 “Remember the word that I said
to you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted
Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep
yours also. 21 “But all these things they will do to you for My name’s
sake, because they do not know the One who sent Me. 22 “If I had not
come and spoken to them, they would not have sin, but now they have no
excuse for their sin.”

This
is the reason why the world hates Jesus and hates Christians; If we
speak up against sin, because then the world is judged. If we keep
quiet there is no judgment. The world hated Jesus because He spoke out
against sin and evil.

If
you are a Christian the world will hate you, because of your mere
presence, your presence will be a condemnation and a rebuke for sin; if
you truly walk with Jesus and if you live a righteous life.

The
world does not mind you believing in Jesus, they will hate you if you
are different, if your actions are different. Believing makes you no
different from anybody else; it’s when you start reacting differently
that the world hates you. If you are born again, you will be different,
you will act different and the world will hate you. Your presence will
be annoying to them, just like the presence of Christ was annoying to
the world.

The
world resents a Christian who lives according to the will of God, we
read in 1 Peter 4:3-5 “For the time already past is sufficient for you
to have carried out the desire of the Gentiles, having pursued a course
of sensuality, lusts, drunkenness, carousing, drinking parties and
abominable idolatries. 4 In all this, they are surprised that you do not run with them into the same excesses of dissipation, and they malign you; 5 but they will give account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.” Peter says they malign
you, they criticize, they smear and they slander you if you do not go
along, if you do not participate in these parties and what the world
does. They will reject you, because you are a rebuke to them.

Jesus
spoke out against sin. He calls us to oppose wickedness and sin. If we
keep quiet we consent, we give our approval. It will cost you if you
speak out, in eternity it will cost you even more if you don’t speak
out against sin. Our silence, if we keep quiet is just a testimony that
we accept unrighteousness and then we are not truly followers of Jesus
Christ.
Jesus rejected evil, He cleansed the temple.  We read it in Matthew 21:12-13 “And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves. 13 And He said to them, “It is written, ‘MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER’; but you are making it a ROBBERSDEN.”

The
road of righteousness is narrow, it is a road of rejection. If you
follow Jesus and live a righteous life you will be rejected, mocked,
scoffed, slandered you will pay a price.

Those who follow Jesus in history and live for righteousness paid a price:

Cain killed his brother because his deeds were evil.

Noah
was mocked and ridiculed, until the day that the door of the Ark was
closed and it started raining and God’s judgment came on the world
because of the sin.

Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego were cast into a fiery furnace because they refused to bow down to Nebuchadnezzars statue.

Daniel, he was cast into the Lion’s den.

John the Baptist he was beheaded because he spoke out against Herod taking the wife of his brother.

And our Savior Jesus Christ, He was killed on a cross on Calvary, because He spoke out against sin and wickedness.

What about us?

People love their sin and they hate God.

Many Christians live in sin, without marriage, fornication is rampant inside and outside of the church.

Divorce,
homosexual and lesbian behavior, all of this God hates, yet it is
accepted in some churches, even amongst the leadership.

Abortion,
which is murder has become a choice, it is accepted, it is practiced
and justified, by people who call themselves Christians.

We
can fool ourselves and we can fool others, but we cannot fool God. If
you speak out against these things you are expelled, you are expelled
from some churches also.

God
has not changed my friend. Sin might be accepted by our communities and
might be accepted by Churches but not by Jesus Christ. Jesus was killed
because he spoke out against sin.

Jesus
continuously rebuked the Scribes and Pharisees for their
unrighteousness. He could see right through them that they were fakes.
They were only pretending, He rebuked them for their works were evil.

We
need to stand up and be counted or else we will be disappointed in the
judgment day. It is not the will of God that anyone perish but that we
repent of our sins and that we live for righteousness and that we stand
up for righteousness.

It
is not just a matter of repenting and turning away from what is wrong.
We need to replace it with what is good what is pleasing in the sight
of God. You need to change your actions, change your lifestyle, you
need to live righteously and seek God.

If
you are living together in sin; repent and get married. If you got a TV
in every room and you worship the one-eyed god, get rid of your idol.
Put a Bible in every room. Build a house altar: Instead of lying in
front of the TV, gather your family, eat at a table, read the Bible
together and pray together.

Spend time in prayer, that’s the only way to get to know Jesus.

Football, sports and all of that is not important to a Christian. His relationship with Jesus is important that is all that counts.

Why do you not look after the orphan and the widow, the needy?

Go
visit the sick, lay hands on them. Pray for them. That’s what the Lord
commanded us to do. Testify about Jesus. Do you care that your family
and friends are going to hell or don’t you care? We must testify to
them.

We shall be judged by our deeds. If we fail to bear fruit we shall be cut off and burnt.

We
read in Hebrews 6:7-8 “For ground that drinks the rain which often
falls on it and brings forth vegetation useful to those for whose sake
it is also tilled, receives a blessing from God; 8 but if it yields
thorns and thistles, it is worthless and close to being cursed, and it
ends up being burned.”
We
need to wake up or else we will be burned. It’s time for Christians to
wake up before it is too late. We shall be judged by our deeds not by
our faith. If we don’t stand up for righteousness, if we don’t accept
the scorn of the world then we have no part of Christ. We need to stand
up and be counted, we need to live righteous lives, we will be scorned,
we will be rejected but that’s the price of being a disciple of Jesus
Christ.
