In the world but not of the world

Many
Christians don’t know what it means to be separate from the world. They
wonder how it comes about in the life of a Christian. How much must you
separate yourself?

It
is written in 2 Corinthians 6:14-18. “Do not be bound together with
UNBELIEVERS; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness,
or what fellowship has light with darkness? 15 Or what harmony has
Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an
unbeliever? 16 Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For
we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, I WILL DWELL IN
THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM and I WILL BE THEIR GOD and THEY SHALL BE MY
PEOPLE. 17 Therefore COME OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE
says the Lord. And DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN; And I will welcome
you. 18 And I will be a FATHER to you, and you shall be sons and
daughters to Me, says the Lord Almighty.”

People don’t know how this works. How does a Christian separate himself from the world?  The
way people think about it is: How do I fit God into my schedule? That
is where we make the mistake. It is quite simple. We have no plans or
schedule any more. We fit into His plan.

We
have no plans. We are like a homeless person; we abandon ourselves and
follow Jesus. We leave our old friends. A person who is born again dies
to His own plans and dreams. Paul writes in Colossians 3:1-4 “Therefore
if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above,
where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on
the things above, not on the things that are on earth. 3 For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.”

We
must set our minds on Christ, not on the things of the world. We have
nothing in common with this world if we are born again if we are
children of God.

We read in Titus 2:11-14 “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, 12 instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age,
13 looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our
great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, 14 who gave Himself for us to
redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people
for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.”

So those who think that they are called to sit on their backsides are making a big mistake. They are not reading the Bible. If we are still interested in football, sports, TV, going to the Mall and worldly friends then we are not born again.
Then we are just a hypocrite and we are on our way to hell. A hypocrite
is a fraud and if we are a hypocrite and a fraud, we are just fooling
ourselves by thinking that we have a place in heaven.

People want to hang out with the rich and the famous.
Jesus connected with the poor and the humble. If you follow Jesus you
will also be a friend of the lowly. Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 1:26-29
“For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise
according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble; 27 but
God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and
God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which
are strong, 28 and the base things of the world and the
despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may
nullify the things that are, 29 so that no man may boast before God.”
Isn’t that wonderful.

Jesus was not impressed with rich people.
He said that it will be easier for a camel to go through the eye of a
needle than for a rich man to go into heaven. So, it makes you wonder
where these rich TV-preachers will spend eternity. They dress like
movie stars with all their face-lifts and their nose jobs. Don’t
associate with them, be separate. They call themselves servants of God,
they definitely have nothing in common with Jesus Christ. If you want
to become like them then listen to them.

These rich Christian rock stars and singers they have also become celebrities.
They try and out do the world. They are also Christian idols. They are
trying to fit Jesus into their shiny costumes and their rock bands. You
need to pay them thousands of dollars up front for a performance. They
only sleep in 5 star hotels like the TV-preachers.

We
read in Matthew 8:19 “Then a scribe came and said to Him, “Teacher, I
will follow You wherever You go.”  Jesus said to him, “The foxes have
holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”

What similarity is there between these performers and Jesus Christ?

If you want to wear a bracelet, which says WWJD – what would Jesus do? Then think about that?  Do you still call yourself born again?  Come out and be separate my friend.

We read in Romans 13:8 “Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.”

How
much money do you owe? So you call yourself a Christian, which Bible
are you reading? Nowadays churches have loans. If they cannot even obey
the Lord Jesus how can they preach the gospel? They are the same as the
world. There is no difference.

Christians
are concerned about the RFD chip, the mark of the beast; they will take
it, because they are most of them in debt. WHY? The borrower is servant
to the lender Proverbs 22:7. If you owe money and you worried about
your credit limit you are going to take the mark of the beast when that
Banker tells you to. You won’t have any way out, WHY? Because you
didn’t obey God, you are stuck, you are stuck in debt.

Jesus
never begged anybody to follow Him. He never gave anyone soft talk
about sin. The church today rewrites the Bible to go with their lies.
Jesus said that: "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny
himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me” Luke 9:23. The
modern church loves the world, they play worldly music to attract the
world, and it even organizes pagan feasts and Halloween parties, just
to attract the world.

The
Bible says you adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the
world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend
of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

 The church says you are saved by grace and you can keep on sinning.  You
are acceptable as a church member but you won’t be welcome in heaven.
Jesus said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is
the slave of sin John 8:13. Jesus came to set us free from the bondage
of sin. He sent his Holy Spirit to live in and guide each and every
believer. Every person who listens to His conscience and to the Holy
Spirit will not sin.

If
we are born again Christians, living in this world, we shall not seek
our own pleasure but we shall only seek to please Jesus. That is the
difference between a believer who is a doer and a believer who is a
hypocrite and a fraud.

We
read in 1 John 2:15 “Do not love the world nor the things in the world.
If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

There is a clear cut between Jesus and the world.

The
reward of those who disobey Jesus is clear, the choice is ours: We read
in Revelations 21:8 "But for the cowardly and unbelieving and
abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and
idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with
fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

If we want to be Children of God our choice is clear, very clear. It is written in 2 Corinthians 6:17-18 “Therefore COME OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE
says the Lord. And DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN; And I will welcome
you. 18 And I will be a FATHER to you, and you shall be sons and
daughters to Me, says the Lord Almighty.”
