Jesus is not in scripture

Very few people know Jesus Christ and sadly it is true that very few Christians know Jesus Christ. They are looking for Him in the wrong place. After the crucifixion Mary went to look for Jesus at the grave, she was told: He is not here. There was an empty grave. A lot of people are looking for salvation but Jesus is salvation. Unless we get to know Jesus Christ we don’t have salvation. He is the way, The Truth and the Life. When He was walking this earth people also looked for Him in the scripture, He is not in the scripture. Jesus is alive, He is not contained in a Book. When He walked this earth He said to the people: You search the scriptures because in that you hope to find eternal life and here I am and you won’t come to Me to have eternal life. Today it is exactly the same, people are looking for salvation by knowledge of scripture.

Jesus is not in the scripture. What Jesus said is written in the scripture but Jesus is not in the scripture. He is also not contained in scripture. His revelation is not in scripture. Jesus is alive. Unless we know Him, know His voice, unless we get to know Him personally He will say to us: Go away from Me, I never knew you. We will not get to know Jesus Christ in the scripture; we will get to know Him through a personal relationship on our knees, waiting for Him, listening for His voice, seeking Him. Very few people know Him, very few people are interested in knowing Him. They are so busy with scriptures, teachings and readings, they have no time to spend on their knees seeking Him, they have no time to ponder on Him, they have no time for His Holy Spirit to come into them, to lead them to guide them. They are so busy with their own religion with their own form of worship, there is no place for Jesus Christ, that is not salvation. Knowing Jesus is knowing life, having a relationship with Jesus, that is life. Knowing about Him is not enough. We need to know Him personally. The disciples, when James found Jesus he went and called his brother Peter and he said I have found the Lord and he took him to the Lord Jesus physically. We need to be taken to Jesus we need to take other people to Jesus merely, telling them about Jesus is not taking them to Jesus. It is important that we know Jesus, that we speak to Him daily, that we hear His voice that we wait on Him, that we are guided by His Spirit.

He sends His Spirit to come and live in those who follow Him. He said to His disciples it is good that I go away because then I can send the Holy Spirit who will be with you for eternity. The Holy Spirit connects us with Jesus Christ it is the mind of Christ, which reveals to us that which is in the mind of Jesus Christ. Most people, most Christians ignore the Holy Spirit. To them it is an ad-on, a subject of discussion, or a subject of study. Jesus Christ is not a subject of study, the Holy Spirit is not something to be studied. The Holy Spirit is reality, it is the Spirit of the living God, it comes and lives inside of a follower of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit reminds us of what Jesus said, whether we have the scripture or not. The Holy Spirit is not depended on the scripture at all. Jesus is not dependant on scripture. He reveals Himself to people without scripture. People hang onto the scripture and they forget Jesus Christ. It is important to have a relationship with Jesus more than anything else. The disciples knew Jesus, they didn’t read about Jesus, they followed Jesus they were with Him day by day. The Apostle Paul was one of the Apostles. He never spend time with Jesus, not physically but he got to know Jesus through revelation. The Holy Spirit revealed to Paul exactly what the Spirit of Jesus Christ wanted to tell him, and he was a prolific writer, he wrote more than any of the other Apostles. He had more revelation than them all, why? He spent time in the presence of Jesus Christ. Unless we spend time in His presence, unless we listen, unless we seek Him, we will never know Him. We will know off Him but we will never get to know Him, we will never get guided by His Holy Spirit.

The letter is dead the Spirit gives life to the letter. Jesus’ Holy Spirit will explain to us what is written. It is important that  we spend time with Jesus Christ, that we spend time seeking Him, spend time waiting on Him. King David had the Spirit of the living God in him, he wrote most of the Psalms. It was the Spirit of God living in him and working through him that gave those prophecies that wrote those Psalms, why? He spent time in the presence of God. The only way that we are going to get to know Jesus Christ, the only way we will get into a relationship with Him is spending time with Him, not spending time reading  or talking about Him; we need time with Him, time in His presence waiting on His Holy Spirit, asking Him to guide us. He said: Draw closer to Me and I will draw closer to you. He didn’t say: Read about Me. He didn’t say: Search the scriptures. He said: Seek Me and ye will find Me. He also said: Me and My Father will come and live in you and I will reveal Myself to you. The revelation of Jesus Christ is not through scripture it is through His Spirit, the letter is dead the Spirit gives life to it.

Jesus is not in the grave Jesus is not in the scripture. Either He is alive and you have a relationship with Him or you don’t know Him. Jesus is not in that Book, He is in no book. Everything was made for Him and to Him and through Him and in Him all things hold together. We read it in Colossians 1:16. He is God Almighty He is King of kings Lord of lords He is coming to rule He is coming to establish His kingdom on this earth visibly. He is not in a Book. The only way to get to know Him is by a relationship, by spending time with Him by crying out. Say: Lord Jesus I am here, Lord speak to me, reveal Yourself to me, which ever way You wish, please Lord but I seek You. Please Lord reveal Yourself to me, Lord Jesus. He will come to you He will come to me. He said: I stand at the door and I knock at the door of your heart. He says and whoever will open I will come in and have meal with him. Don’t spend your time with other things, spend your time in the presence of Jesus Christ, wait on Him that’s the only way that we will get to know Him. Take heed, Jesus is coming, few know Him. He will say to many: Go away from Me, I never knew you, you work iniquity, why? Because they never took the time to spend time with Jesus, they were occupied with other things including the scripture but never in the presence of the King, never through His Holy Spirit in a relationship with Him praying. Let us take heed, seek Jesus now, get into a relationship, get to know His voice, or else He will tell us, I never knew you.

    Hello, my dear brother,
The voice of Jesus Christ will always be backed up with scripture, if people do not read and seek Him in scripture how do they know they are following the correct voice, Jesus said, "My sheep know my voice and they will follow me a strangers voice they will not follow!" Yes we need to seek Christ with all that is in us. But we also need to be sure that we are following the right voice. That is why God had the bible written. Jesus said in: (Matthew 22:29  Jesus replied, "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.)  (Luke 24:27  And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.); (Luke 24:32  They asked each other, "Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?") And in: (Romans 10:17  Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.) I could go on and on but These say it all!
But I do agree with you that the bible without Jesus is just a book with no life in it!
Love you in <*Christ>< Pastor Winston

My brother I had to come back and say something eldse about this matter, in Matthew 4:1-11, after being tempted three times, at the end of each of these temptations Jesus told Satan, "It is written". and this is avery important fact for us today! Ephesians 6, take up the double eedged sword, that being the written word of God! (Luke 6:49 But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.")
