There are many backslidden believers that are prevented from coming back to Jesus Christ for what they believe is sin against the Holy Spirit, and they believe that Jesus won’t except them, won’t take them back.
What is sin against the Holy Spirit? Jesus said in Luke 12:10 “And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him.”
There are many people who are backslidden that wonder and the devil tells them that Jesus won’t take you back. It is not for us to decide whether Jesus will take us back. It is for us to go to the throne of mercy and to plead, to go to Jesus and to say: Lord Jesus I submit. Satan will do whatever he can to prevent you he will lie to you prevent you to go back to Jesus Christ, to get forgiveness of sin, and to be restored in your relationship with Jesus.
There is a passage in the Bible it is often used, and people read it and then believe God will never accept them back. We read it in Hebrews 10:26-30 “For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a terrifying expectation of judgment and THE FURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES. 28 Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said, "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY " And again, "THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE."
As I said, it is not for us do decide. God never refused anybody that came back to Him. Ahab was a wicked king and when Jezebel killed Naboth and took his vineyard and gave that to Naboth God send His prophet to Ahab and He told him that His judgment is on him. Ahab repented and God forgave Him.
If we come to Christ in repentance He will accept us. Don’t let anybody else tell you that Jesus won’t accept you, go speak to Jesus yourself. I have people come to me and say that they believe they have sinned against the Holy Spirit. What I tell them is go to Jesus and pray like a dying man, go cast yourself on Him, you have no other option. Don’t let the devil lie to you. Don’t let anybody else tell you what to do and what not to do what is acceptable and what is not acceptable. You go to the throne of mercy yourself, go to Jesus Christ on your knees, it doesn’t matter how far backslidden you are don’t listen to anybody else, don’t let anything prevent you from going back to Jesus Christ, from going on your knees from repenting and saying: Lord Jesus please help me. He will listen to your praye,r don’t let anybody put you off, let nothing get in your way. Just go to Jesus and pray, cry out to Him He will answer you.
We read about Jesus in Matthew 12:18-21 “BEHOLD, MY SERVANT WHOM I HAVE CHOSEN; MY BELOVED IN WHOM MY SOUL is WELL-PLEASED; I WILL PUT MY SPIRIT UPON HIM, AND HE SHALL PROCLAIM JUSTICE TO THE GENTILES. 19"HE WILL NOT QUARREL, NOR CRY OUT; NOR WILL ANYONE HEAR HIS VOICE IN THE STREETS. 20"A BATTERED REED HE WILL NOT BREAK OFF, AND A SMOLDERING WICK HE WILL NOT PUT OUT, UNTIL HE LEADS JUSTICE TO VICTORY. 21"AND IN HIS NAME THE GENTILES WILL HOPE."
Jesus Christ is our only hope, we have no other hope cry out to Him Go back to Him, doesn’t matter what you have sinned, doesn’t matter how often you have fallen down. doesn’t matter what you have done go to Jesus speak to Jesus cry out to Him, He will answer you. Do not let anybody else decide for you whether Jesus will accept you or not accept you. He is the Alpha the Omega, He is the Beginning He is the End. If He rejects you then, you are rejected. He has never cast away a sinner, never ever, go to Him plead with Him. I know off many people who believed that they have sinned against the Holy Spirit, they went to Jesus Christ on their knees, He accepted them back, they are living in peace, they got the peace of Christ back in their lives, they are following Jesus Christ Don’t listen to anybody but Jesus Christ Himself, He will speak to you, He will clear your conscience, He will minister to you. He is your only hope, Jesus Christ and nobody else. Don’t listen to anybody else not even your own mind, don’t listen to the devil don’t listen to any mortal person just go on your knees and seek Jesus Christ. Go to the throne of mercy ask for forgiveness, draw closer to Him and He will draw closer to you.
