If you are not excited about your relationship with Jesus Christ there is a problem. Maybe you relationship has gone stale or maybe you don’t have a relationship at all. If we don’t love Jesus and we are not eager to be with Him, to praise Him and talk about Him, there is no way that we can have an expectation of salvation or of going to heaven.
There is this fallacy going around that if you believe in Jesus you are saved. It doesn’t stop there. Read on! Faith without action is dead. People believe medicine is effective for pain, therefore they take medicine. People believe in Jesus but don’t obey Him. He said “If you love me, keep My commandments.” He said: “Follow Me!” Are you?
Discretion is a nice word for denial, they both have the same meaning. “But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew. 10:33. I recently visited a Christian book store and had a look at their T-shirts. There were many with wonderful designs, words and phrases, but only one out of 30 with the name Jesus. Why? The only explanation that I can think of is that people are offended by the name Jesus. Will you wear a T-shirt with Jesus written on it? Will you write “Jesus” on you car, or don’t you like the “brand”? Most people with a “fish sticker” on their cars drive like maniacs anyway – see what “discretion” does for you!
Christians get excited about their church, their pastor, their church activities, the wonderful fellowship, but if you talk about Jesus they lose interest and walk away. Why are they not excited about Jesus? Why don’t they drag you to Jesus?
Do we for one moment think we can fool Jesus? Would you have Him treat you the same way, be ashamed of you? Let’s stop kidding ourselves and get real. “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.” Revelations 3:15,16.
If you are not fired up and excited, keen about Jesus, there is only one thing you can do about it: REPENT! “Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent.” Rev 3:19.
It is time to check our priorities! We read about heaven and about those that go there: “And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him: And they shall see His face; and His name shall be in their foreheads.” Revelations 22:3,4.Either we get excited about Jesus and love Him now or His Name will not be on our foreheads, because we will not go into heaven! If you don’t like the “brand” now you never will! Repent, or accept your destiny forever, away from Jesus!
